Run Your Race Week 2
In life, we often find ourselves burdened by wrong beliefs, distractions, and sin—weights that slow us down and keep us from running the race God has marked out for us. But Hebrews 12:1–2 reminds us that we were never meant to live weighed down; we were made to run light and run free. Through Christ, freedom has been declared over our lives (Galatians 5:1), but that freedom can be interrupted, misused, or ignored if we aren't intentional. When we believe wrong, we run wrong—but when we walk by the Spirit, we are empowered to live freely and lightly, bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace, and more (Galatians 5:22–23). Real freedom isn’t the absence of boundaries; it’s the power of God’s presence at work in us. So it’s time for a weight check—what’s slowing you down? This season, let go of every hindrance, fix your eyes on Jesus, and take intentional steps forward: be filled with the Spirit, pray with someone, confess your faults, and find your community in a small group. Because if you don’t throw it off, it will throw you off—and you were made to run free.
