Leadership

Les and Angela are the founding pastors of Church of the Pines. They met and married in Jackson, MS in 2000. They moved to Tyler in 2017 and planted the church in February 2018. Together, they have been in ministry since 2001 and are passionate about their mission: to lead people in a relationship with Christ that is full and vibrant in every season.
 Les and Angela reside in Bullard with their daughter. They enjoy time spent with family and friends, playing golf, traveling, and Dallas Cowboys football (most of the time).

Matthew is a native East Texan who has called Tyler home since 2014 with his wife Autumn and their two children. He holds a bachelor's degree from Oral Roberts University in theology & church history and a master's in biblical exposition from Liberty University. His favorite hobbies include reading, playing sports, and spending time with his family and church family.

Joel has been a resident of Tyler since 2021, with his wife Kat. He graduated from Highlands College and Southeastern University with a degree in Organizational Leadership and Student Ministry. He loves music and has a background in worship ministry and songwriting as well. He has two dogs and is a major foodie.

Kat has been a part of worship ministry in some capacity since she was 16 years old. She has a passion for the local church, worship, and seeing the next generation come to know Jesus.  Kat has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Mississippi College, as well as a Certificate of Ministry Training in Worship Leadership from Highlands College.  She lives in Tyler with her husband Joel and their two dogs.  Kat loves Coke Zero, spending quality time with her husband, and reading.

Calling Tyler, TX home since 2017, Chris has served in ministry for over 20 years. A graduate of Mississippi College, he is happily married to his wife Jennifer, and together they have three wonderful children, two dogs that they tolerate, two cats that tolerate them, and an unhealthy obsession with chocolate chip cookies.

Jonathan has a deep passion for serving others, both in the church and in the business world. Raised in a ministry family that planted a church in the Bronx, NY, he has been actively involved in every aspect of church and missions work throughout his life. His love for learning and embracing new challenges led him to venture into real estate investing in Tyler, where he has successfully built, owns, and manages several multifamily projects.
Jonathan and his wife, Emily, have been married for 20 years and are proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Haley and Morgan. The Gregoris have been members of Church of the Pines since its opening day in 2018, where they felt called to serve in a community known for its warm environment—and the memorable donut wall!

Emily and her husband, Jonathan, have been living in Tyler, TX, since 2010. Married for 20 years, they have two daughters, Haley and Morgan, who have grown up in Pines Kids, progressed through Pines Students, and now actively serve on the Dream Team. Emily partners with Jonathan in their real estate business and also contributes to the church by managing various business operations, including giving and accounting.

Anne is married to her wonderful husband, Josh and has two daughters, Audrey and Lauren. She has served in Children's Ministry for over 20 years and is passionate about raising up the next generation to love and follow Christ.

Amanda was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. Her passion is teaching children about Jesus and helping them grow in their relationship with Him! Some of her favorite things in life are her dogs, her friends, iced coffee, and talking about Jesus. 

He has served in various ministry roles for over 15 years. Brian graduated with a Certificate of Ministry and Leadership from Highlands College in May 2018. Additionally, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministries from Point University in May 2019.

Brian is married to his wife, Kelli, and together they have three wonderful kids. They love spending time with their children and creating lasting memories. In his free time, Brian enjoys reading and expanding his knowledge of Planning Center.

Holly is married to Jackson and has a joy-filled son, Peter. She is originally from California but has lived in Tyler, TX for 15 years. Her family loves spending time together outdoors, whether playing softball, going to the lake, hiking, or just exploring God’s creation.
