Reply All Part 1
What do we do when life stops making sense? When the gap between what we believe about God and what we are actually experiencing feels too wide to cross? These are not fringe questions reserved for moments of crisis. They are the honest wrestlings of every person of faith. This message walks us directly into that tension, using the story of Lazarus in John 11 as our guide. When Jesus arrived after Lazarus had already been dead four days, Martha met him with a raw and unfiltered statement: if you had been here, my brother would not have died. Rather than correcting her or dismissing her grief, Jesus wept with her. That single detail reframes everything. God is not frightened by our questions. He does not demand that we perform certainty we do not feel. He meets us in the middle of our grief and wrestles alongside us. The invitation here is to stop burying the pain and start bringing it to the one who already knows it is there. Faith does not mean pretending it does not hurt. Faith means looking up instead of looking away.
